Proposal Title: The Flag of New Empire, 02/14/2008, Other

Proposal Synopsis: Two headed eagle represents the unity of west and east or the unity of opposites which is the root of empire's power. Understanding West and East as opposites is to claim a hierarchy between them which opens a gate to violence. This is a fact which makes us question democracy which depends on the approval of beyond nation organizations. The flag of new Empire's democracy rises from the corpses of Iraq people.

Artist's Biography: Ozgur Ufuk Atac is born in İstanbul, 1981. He is a graduate of Marmara University of Fine Arts, Graphic department, Istanbul, Turkey.
