Proposal Synopsis: Postcards are produced and distributed, each prepaid and bearing the name of a civilian killed in Iraq. 1/3 are addressed back to artist (as physical reading of what is being said or written upon them), 2/3 can be mailed wherever one likes, to anyone, with any note or thought. website exists to provide information about project and offer recipient of any card the opportunity to register the name, the city of origin, and the city of receipt; thus tracking the pathways being traveled by each named card. info at knowtheirnames.blogspot.com

Artist's Biography: Currently pursuing MFA Studio Art at UNC Chapel Hill. 15 years performance art/installation art focus. Originally from Jacksonville Florida, Cuban American, husband and father.
