Proposal Title: Scars on Bagdad, 03/17/2008, Sculpture

Proposal Synopsis: We propose a sculpture on the river Tigris in assassinated memory of the thousands of innocent during the unilateral attack that the United States has committed on Iraq, we based our proposal on the scars that on the Iraqian territory the pumps have left you throw during the eleven pulls of occupation, these scars we drew up them from the points that I exercise of the United States was marking and attacking according to its degree of importance. Our intention is to create a bridge between the culture of the Middle East and the western one, a bridge of respect and tolerance, for that reason we propose a monument that resembles a cemetery on the river Tigris, a cemetery in which the western ones we pruned to render mourning to the Iraqians. Certainly the physical scars will be able to erase of the memory with the passage of time, but we are sure that the scars of the heart, of the conscience will be with us by the rest of our history.

Artist's Biography: It was born the 12 of February of 1979, in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico. It obtained the title of architect in 2002 by the University of Guadalajara, was scholarship holder of Foundation TELMEX during period 1997-2001, founded Study USB in 2004 with which it has participated in different national aids as much international, obtaining different recognitions by its participation, parallelly to the aids it has materialized several projects of house in its native city.
